FAQs

What is the difference between wheel throwing and hand-building?

Wheel throwing you work on the potter’s wheel and make basic forms like cups or bowls. Hand-building you work on the table and make slightly more detailed forms like mugs, jars, vases, etc.

What do I wear for clay class?

Wear something that you don’t mind getting a little dirty (clay will wash out of your clothes though!) and keep your nails short.

What is your cancellation policy?

There are no refunds offered for day-of cancellations or no-shows.

For our group classes, we require 48 hours notice prior to the date of the class for all cancellations.

For our private classes, we require a non-refundable $50 deposit that goes towards payment of your class. Balance is due on the day of class. If your class needs to be moved, we ask for 48 hours notice.

If you are sick and need to remove yourself from class, you are welcome to have someone fill in for you but please let us know in advance.

Do you offer memberships?

Yes! But we are currently full. Please contact us for more details and to be placed on the waitlist.

Do you offer outside firing services?

We do not at this time.

What are your hours?

We do not have regular hours, but are open for classes and special events throughout the year. If you see an ‘Open Shop’ sign out, please stop by. We are a member run space, so if someone is at the studio with the door open, feel free to stop in.

Do you sell pottery?

Yes! We have pottery for sale by our members and teachers. Stop by during one of our events, when the ‘Open Shop’ sign is out, or send us a message if you would like an appointment to come see the work.

Do you offer gift cards for classes and/or pottery?

Yes! Go to the ‘Group Classes’ page on our website and gift cards are the first option.
